Tibet Bazaar opened as an international novelty store of handicrafts, clothing, and jewelry in Yellow Springs, Ohio, on April 1st, 2002. Drenko Pureval’s sister, Perloo Payne, inspired Drenko to start a Tibetan store in Ohio along the lines of her successful store in the Upper West-Side part of New York City.
